Ooma Japanese Rice Bar: Tsukiji Market Feels.

Ooma reminds me of Japan’s Tsukiji market in Tokyo where you can buy all the freshest seafood in town. Makes me miss Japan so bad :( Kevin and I decided to eat here for late lunch (Light late lunch HAHA) and we’re so lucky that we didn’t have to wait in line.

Soft Shell Crab Taco-Maki
Soft Shell Crab Taco-Maki
We ordered the Soft Shell Crab Taco-Maki (199php / 2pcs) It’s an open-faced temaki wrap topped with crispy soft shell crab with aligue mayo and tobiko. I loved it! So flavorful and very filling. I love how you lightly brush the sauce into the maki.
Next up is the Maki Roll..
Salmon Skin Aburi Maki
Salmon Skin Aburi Maki
Salmon Skin Aburi Maki (265php / 6pcs) which was so good. It has torched salmon, asparagus, cream cheese, wasabi aioli, teriyaki sauce and crispy salmon on top. Ooma-zing!!! Very satisfying! Sweet, savory and salty = Perfect!
Tori Kara-age

Tori Kara-age
Last but not the least is the Tori Kara-age which was so good! I love the crunchiness in every bite. Heavenly good! Tori Kara-age is a crispy chicken tight covered in sweet potato strips topped with scallions and sesame seeds, drizzled with soy and vinegar glaze. They also offer free Japanese rice to go with your tori kara-age.
Serving size was about right given the price. The service was good and the food arrived really quick.

Check out Ooma’s Facebook page!
Cost: Approx. 1300php for 2 pax. *Depends on your order*
